I had to download oscam_new by going to "Download Plugins > Softcams" on the receiver. The OSCam that is installed by default with OpenViX didn't work for me on my Octagon SF8008. Inside the "oscam" folder you need 6 files: nf, er, oscam.dvbapi, oscam.srvid, ache and rver. If you are on OpenATV you will find this folder in: /usr/keys/ Without knowing how to do this I would never buy an ARM chip receiver! To use OSCam you will need to create a folder called "oscam" and place it into the location: /etc/tuxbox/config/ on your receiver.
Please do not say google is your friend as on other occasions as I have looked and looked and not found a straightforward explanation or sample config. Can anyone help with using oscam and a softcam.key file.
